With the final medal ceremony on the Medal Plaza in Turin, the work of the orthopedic technical medical service team for the XX Olympic Winter Games came to an end. The medical service team of Bauerfeind AG, Co-Partner Germany and official supplier of the German Olympic teams, was utilized in more than 80 cases.

For the Bauerfeind orthopedic technical medical service team there was no time to relax during the second Olympic weekend. A national trainer for the bobsled and luge team, that just had a meniscus operation, needed a light knee orthosis. The service team took him on the difficult route back to Sestriere and visited him in the bob and skeleton driver accommodations in Cesana.
